Apple CNA (Captive Network Assistant)
Published 15/12/2022 Updated 19/12/2022
Now I may be biased as I’ve had to work with captive portals and been annoyed by Apples sand-boxed captive network assistants web browser. Apples CNA sandbox browser does not allow any sort of persistent storage on the device. To the point where localStorage is outright disallowed and cookies are not stored between sessions. Duolingo Xp Exploit
Published 07/06/2022 Updated 16/12/2022
Your browser does not support the video tag! It’s possible for super/pro users to instantly complete speaking only lessons on iOS. Click continue and when prompted for microphone access, just click cancel. Profit. (Instant perfect lesson!) Summary The bug here seems to be that the first in app prompt for microphone access does nothing, except telling the end user to please give up mic perms. Read More... -

There are an absolutely insane amount of these “homeservers”. It’s recommended you choose one that you trust but any server with the exception of the official matrix.org server should be alright. The official is always under heavy load and will appear even more sluggish than most servers. Read More... -
IT Apprentice

This page on my blog serves as an index of technologies I’ve learned or became better at while working as an apprentice in IT. π It also serves the purpose of the required documentation apprentices in Norway are supposed to do. π€ π³ It’s mostly in relation to stuff learned at SkyLabs AS where we run a captive portal service. But there is also some stuff from Sircon AS. Those guys run hosting services, with a focus on cPanel/WordPress shared hosting. Read More...
